Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration

Honoring Tradition, Encountering Faith

At Campus Ministry, we believe that faith and culture have the power to bring people together into one family. The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe serves as a unifying celebration and a reminder of how Our Lady brings together those who are culturally divided. What began on campus as an opportunity to support Hispanic students in celebrating an important tradition has grown into one of our main community celebrations, welcoming students from all walks of life to experience the gift of Our Lady of Guadalupe and her simple message "Am I not here, I who am your mother?"

The campus traditions include Spanish Mass, sacred and Mariachi music, a procession through campus with a portrait of the tilma, traditional food, roses gifted to students, a reenactment of the story and miracle in the student center, and authentic community. The joyful, all-campus approach with multiple venues aims to make Catholic faith encounters accessible to all.

Your support helps Campus Ministry continue this tradition of creating a meaningful celebration where students, faculty and staff can connect in faith and culture.

Thank you for considering a gift to support the Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration at St. Thomas!
