Modern and Classical Languages

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages is deeply committed to educating globally minded citizens through the study of second languages and cultures. Our programs including majors in Classical Civilization and Languages, French, German and Spanish; courses in American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, Italian and Japanese; the German and Engineering program; a minor in Spanish for Health Professions; and graduate programs in Spanish (M.A. in Spanish and Graduate Certificate in Spanish) give students the opportunity to learn about the intellectual traditions and cultures of people around the world.

Your gift to Modern and Classical Languages helps support the MCL Scholarship for language and culture majors and study abroad opportunities. You may also designate your gift to support the continued study of Spanish at the graduate level through the Spanish Graduate Studies Scholarship.
