Tommie Triathlon provides an active community to help students from all fitness backgrounds find success in endurance racing and activities! We are seeking gifts to help pay for travel, training space rentals and to reduce race costs for athletes.

A Note from Paige Johnson '29

"Hi everyone! My name is Paige Johnson, and this is my second year on the team. This team has meant so much to me. I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years; when I came to college I knew I wanted to stay active. That’s when I got connected with Tommie Triathlon. At first, it was a bit scary to go to the first couple events because I didn’t know anyone on the team. However, I am glad that I went because I met some of my best friends. This team has become a family to me; we are all super close and love training and hanging out together. I love being a part of a community of like-minded people who love to push their bodies to their absolute limit. Tommie Triathlon means the world to me because it shows me that my body is capable of much more than I think it is. The team has given me a place to fully be myself and grow as a person not only physically but mentally as well. It has also given me a family away from home.

Last year when we went down to Mississippi for the USA Triathlon Collegiate Club National Championships, the team grew very close - especially after our car broke down in Waterloo, Iowa! However, the road to the event included a lot of team bonding when making our Road to Nationals video, which eventually won first place at the Championships. Watching each other compete and cross the finish line at Nationals was truly inspiring. Seeing everyone achieve their goal of becoming triathletes for St. Thomas invoked feelings I have never felt before. Nationals truly made the Tri Team a family; we went through so much together during that trip. However, we could not do any of this without your support and gifts. Please consider supporting our Tommie Triathletes on this year's journey to the Collegiate National Championships. Thank you!"
