Men's Club Rugby

Our mission is to build a competitive and inclusive rugby community at the University of St. Thomas while helping students grow through teamwork, leadership and camaraderie.

We are seeking funds for equipment including field uprights, tackle pads and a scrum sled. Your gift also will support travel expenses for trips to regionals and nationals and indoor training space rentals. Once winter hits, finding places to practice can be difficult! Having access to indoor facilities will significantly benefit our development.

A Note from Club President Maddox Deschamp '29

"The St. Thomas Men’s Club Rugby team has given me something that I didn’t know I would need here at this school. I didn’t know anything about the sport, but now I look forward every day to our next practice or game. It’s not just the sport that keeps bringing me back and wanting more; it’s the people and the brotherhood that I have built with the team, in and out of the sport. The only challenge that comes with rugby is the financial burden that it can bring on a team with costs such as new equipment to improve practice quality, post season travel for competition, and travel for play opportunities in the spring.

The support that you give to our team makes a huge difference in what we are able to accomplish throughout the year. With our recent accomplishment of qualifying for the Nationals 7’s tournament and traveling to Washington, D.C., every gift helps support more opportunities to compete, improve as a team and continue building the program for future players. Your generosity allows us to focus less on the financial side of the sport and more on playing the game we have all grown to love.
