Club Tennis

The University of St. Thomas Club Tennis team is a co-ed group where students can play tennis, meet new people and have fun together. We focus on creating a welcoming space to practice, compete and enjoy the game.

We are raising funds for court fees, facility rentals, tennis balls and practice equipment, team uniforms, travel costs, and tournament entry fees. Your generosity allows us to welcome more students, build team spirit and create a community where anyone can enjoy tennis, whether they’re beginners or have been playing for years.

A Note from Laura Sullivan '27

"From the very start of freshman year, the St. Thomas Club Tennis team has provided me a much appreciated community and unique purpose! I found it easy to connect with people over a common interest, and my relationships on the team have continued to grow during biweekly practice, social gatherings, club volunteering, and my favorite, traveling for tournaments! As a senior on the team and a member of the board, I want underclassmen and new members of the team to have a similar positive experience as I have had. Gifts are what make the team I love possible. Your gift helps the club to rent court space for practices, afford new tennis balls, sign up for tournaments, and help pay for hotels and rental cars during travel tournaments. My two favorite tournaments with Club Tennis have both been in Colorado. In spring 2024, I played my favorite singles match ever at CU Boulder with a view of the Rocky Mountains. In spring 2026, the team traveled to Denver where we had phenomenal competition, and even got to hike around in the red rocks after our matches. "Club tennis has by far been the best community I have ever joined, and I truly do not think there is a better group of people who support one another and bond on the level that our team has. Even when college gets hard, Club Tennis has reminded me that I’m in right where I need to be. It gives me a a place to stay active, meet new people, travel together, and make lifelong friends. The opportunities that come with this club go beyond just tennis and it’s a community that will support each other no matter what one’s facing!"
