Club Rowing

Club Rowing's mission is to make the sport of rowing accessible to all those wanting to learn, while also fostering a team that strives to compete at a high level. We are raising money for a new four-person racing shell and to travel to national competitions.

Hear from club member Chelsey Wandmacher '29

"I started rowing last fall, not knowing how much it would become a part of my life. In such a short time, rowing has challenged me mentally and physically, pushed me outside my comfort zone, and taught me how much I’m capable of. One of my favorite experiences was traveling to New Jersey for the Dad Vail Regatta, where we got to race alongside so many talented teams and represent St. Thomas at a national level. Through the support of donors the club was able to help cover travel costs and make an experience like this possible for me. Through some of the hardest months of my life, rowing gave me an outlet, a sense of purpose, and a team to lean on. I’m incredibly grateful for everything this sport has given me."
