In Speech and Debate Club, members cultivate their skills in public speaking, argumentative problem solving and teamwork through practices, club events and local/state-level competitions. Whether in a competitive or casual setting, University of St. Thomas Speech and Debate members build lifelong, professional speaking skills. We are raising funds for speech and debate tournament fees and travel costs.

"I have been blessed to participate in speech competition since I was in middle school. I was unsure whether I could continue to use the skills I developed during my continued education and in my career. Thanks to the St. Thomas Speech and Debate Club, I have had the opportunity to further my speech skills and even learn a new skill: how to debate. I have participated in numerous tournaments allowing me to network with like-minded students from other colleges as well as grow personally and professionally.
