African Nations Students Association

The African Nations Student Association (ANSA) is a home away from home where students can celebrate African cultures, share stories and build friendships. Our purpose is to create a welcoming space that brings people together, fosters understanding and uplifts every voice in our community. We are raising money to support our cultural and educational events, bring in speakers and provide resources that help us share Africa’s rich traditions and current issues with the St. Thomas community. Your gift helps us cover event expenses, food and materials so we can continue building connection, awareness and belonging on campus.

"A gift to ANSA is more than just funding events, it’s an investment in belonging, culture and community. For many of us, this club is a home away from home where we can share our stories, celebrate our roots and feel seen in a space that values who we are. We also believe that our purpose is bigger than ourselves, which is why we open our doors to the entire St. Thomas community, inviting everyone to learn, connect and grow together. Through panels, cultural events and open discussions, we create opportunities for students to expand their perspectives, build friendships across cultures and discover the beauty and strength of Africa’s diversity.
