Gifts to Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers contribute to...
The purpose of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers University of St. Thomas Student Club is to empower the People Of Color in STEM at the St. Thomas community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world by increasing educational opportunities, promoting professional and personal growth, achieve social equity, and promoting STEM awareness.
We are seeking to raise money to send our members to the 2024 SHPE National Convention. Sending members to this convention will promote our St. Thomas chapter on the national stage. On an individual level, this will help our members expand their network, meet employers, and help them find job opportunities. Raising money for this project will impact our club by bringing educational opportunities to our members which will help achieve our club goals and our outreach. This will also impact the community by bringing STEM awareness to underrepresented groups. Thank you for your support!

"As a member of SHPE, I got the opportunity to grow my network, connections, and friendships. The events, meetings, and community engagement are a great source of personal and professional development because of the help with resume building, mock interviews, and other activities to help students. Going to 2024 SHPE would be a dream for me because it would be a great opportunity to meet people across the US, get in touch with employers, and progress my professional career."
