The mission of ASME is to establish a community and identity for Engineers at the University of St. Thomas. This includes the development of interdepartmental and interclass relationships and a presence of engineering culture on campus and throughout the surrounding community. We will do this by providing career resources, project experience, leadership, and service opportunities.
We are seeking funding in order to support the attendance of an ASME educational conference out-of-state in order to facilitate professional development, networking opportunities, and knowledge exchange offered by such conferences. Attending an ASME conference provides attendees with access to cutting-edge research, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical engineering and related fields. The conference sessions and presentations offer valuable insights that can enhance attendee's professional competencies and career advancement. They bring provide a unique platform for networking and collaboration by bringing together professionals academics, researchers, and students from across the globe. Attendees have the chance to connect with peers, mentors, and industry experts, fostering relationships that can lead to potential collaborations, and job opportunities. Participation in conferences enhances visibility within the engineering community and can contribute to building a positive reputation and credibility for the organization. Finally, by participating in conference activities, attendees contribute to the advancement of the field, share their expertise, and inspire the next generation of engineers and researchers.
