Why Support Student Clubs?

Our club organization is the student chapter under the local professional chapter of the American Public Works Association. The American Public Works Association is a professional society consisting of both public work employees and consulting firms that are related to public works or infrastructure. The project we are seeking to fund is costs of transportation to public work project sites in the future as this is something that will be beneficial to students looking to pursue the public sector. This will help reduce friction of attendance for students and will promote higher attendance and involvement in the student chapter. This will have a positive impact on the student community as it will show them firsthand practices as well as innovation being implemented in projects to better serve the community.
