About

The Recovery Oriented Campus Center (ROCC) Scholarship in memory of Jesse Harvey will raise funds for scholarship support of USM students who identify as being in recovery. Our goal is to raise $25,000 so that his legacy can live on.

Jesse Harvey was a teacher, advocate, leader and tireless community health trail blazer who devoted his life to caring for the most marginalized people in society. His compassion, encouragement, and love for all will long be remembered. Jesse was a visionary who had plans to change the future. He strove to give dignity and value to each person he met. Jesse's accomplishments were immeasurable and will live on through this scholarship, to support those in recovery who are pursuing higher education and personal advancement opportunities.

"Science, common sense, love, compassion and other teachings will save humankind from death, disease and despair." - Jesse Harvey
