A gift of $100 sponsors Feast on the Streets, a bi-weekly program in which students prepare and distribute meals to 40-50 unhoused individuals in the Scranton area.
Feast on the Streets allows student volunteers to meet and interact with the unhoused community and perform service work. They are not inside a kitchen preparing food to give it to someone who delivers it to the unhoused population. Instead, it is an event where students are no longer behind a wall and could socialize and bond with the unhoused population.
