Bill Stoffel ’90 passed away in 2021 at the age of 53 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bill graduated from The University of Scranton with a B.S. in Accounting. He went on to receive an MBA in finance and obtain his CPA. He joined EY where he worked for 30 years in various leadership positions. Bill was an incredible husband, father, brother, friend and mentor to so many more people than he realized. He would be proud to know this scholarship, in some way, will continue that endeavor to help others.
Bill’s wife Christine ’90 G’92, their children and EY friends have decided to create a scholarship in his name that will benefit students at The University of Scranton in his memory. The William P. Stoffel ’90 Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to undergraduate business majors who have a financial need.
