Support the Friends of the Weinberg Memorial Library
The Friends of the Weinberg Memorial Library play a vital role in enriching the cultural and intellectual life of The University of Scranton and our surrounding community. Your gift to the Friends helps sustain dynamic programming, thoughtful exhibits, community partnerships, and curated collections that make the Library a place for inspiration, discovery, and lifelong learning.
Over the years, donor support has enabled us to:
- Host the Royden B. Davis, S.J., Distinguished Author Award, our signature event celebrating literary excellence.
- Expand the Library’s special and circulating collections, including spending approximately $5,000 per year on print books for the collection, ensuring access for students, researchers, and the public.
- Fund public programming such as lectures, exhibitions, and events that foster dialogue and broaden understanding.
- Enhance the Library’s physical spaces and services, keeping them welcoming, relevant, and accessible.
This 5.06 Day of Giving, we invite you to support the work of the Friends of the Library. Your support ensures that the Weinberg Memorial Library continues to serve as a beacon of knowledge, culture, and community at the University of Scranton.
Make a gift. Make an impact. Be a Friend.
