The Community-Based Learning Student Fellows program is an exciting new way for students to engage in the community through the lens of their academic discipline, to address community needs, and to be creative about how to connect these needs to social change. Fellows will conduct research to help initiate community change to collaboration with community partners to improve or expand the services they provide.
The cohort’s projects cover a span of topics and community partners and the model allows for them to learn from each other and to connect their efforts to the University's Jesuit and Catholic mission. Our CBL student fellows are currently working with the Wright Center, Northeast Pennsylvania Pan-African Coalition, the Catherine McAuley Center, and United Neighborhood Centers.
