USF Thanksgiving Food Drive

Support the USF Thanksgiving Food Drive today!

The USF Thanksgiving Food Drive is upon us and going into its 23 year. This Food Drive is a wonderful collaboration between the USF Alumni Board of Directors, faculty and staff, our students, and the Alumni Network.

Thanks to the generosity of USF faculty and staff, last year 200 families received a turkey or ham and many Thanksgiving sides. This year we are renewing our efforts for this great cause. We need your help to feed even more families, including those from De Marillac Academy and Ella Hill Hutch Community Center, and others living in the Western Addition. If we exceed our goal, we will be able to provide meals to those families who are on our waiting list.

In response to a request from the alumni board, we are appealing to the campus community to renew your support for the food drive. The cost to feed each family this year is $63.10; a gift of any amount helps. The appeal for help is for monetary donations only because there is no room to store the food and this will also allow the board to purchase more items at or below cost from our partners at the local Lucky's Supermarket.

The Thanksgiving Food Drive collection will conclude on Friday, Nov. 16. Food will be distributed and delivered to families on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 17. Donations (cash or check) may be dropped off in Lone Mountain Rossi Wing, Room 115, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Checks may be made payable to the University of San Francisco and, on the memo line, please indicate “Thanksgiving Food Drive.” Make your gift online or call extension 6638 and a member of the Development team will pick up your donation.
