About 🌱

Support DEI Initiatives at USF

At USF, we take pride in being #1 in ethnic diversity among national universities. This achievement reflects our commitment to fostering a rich and inclusive environment that celebrates diverse voices, identities, and backgrounds. We believe that by supporting our diverse student population, we contribute to the creation of a campus that champions inclusivity, equity, and the power of different perspectives.

You can contribute to the DEI fund that you’re most passionate about supporting, including but not limited to:

The Black Student Union is a student group founded at USF in the aftermath of the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. The BSU has long pushed for more diversity and equity at USF, advocating for more recruitment of Black students and faculty. Over the decades, the BSU has brought speakers to campus, including Muhammad Ali and Angela Davis, worked with USF’s public safety department to address racial bias, and tutored public school students in the Western Addition, the historically black neighborhood neighboring USF’s campus.

Queer Alliance at USF is a social and support network for all queer people and allies that brings awareness of queer issues to its members and the student body of USF.

Growth in Women in Tech supports the Women in Tech program in the Computer Science Department. This fund encourages more participation by expanding support for student leadership/faculty, teaching assistantships, and programming.

USF Kasamahan is the Filipino American Student Organization. Its purpose is to promote the unity and solidarity of the Philippine American community by creating a campus-wide environment that affirms the richness and uniqueness of members' many cultural experiences and actively involving educational and pre-professional programs that aid the group in the development of each member's human potential and personal talents.

Thank you for your support!
