The University of San Diego Institute for College Initiatives (ICI) delivers comprehensive college access services to over 700 talented and motivated students, most of whom identify as first-generation to college, from low-income backgrounds, or living with a disability. Founded in 1999, ICI houses USD's TRIO programs, including Upward Bound Kearny Cluster, Upward Bound Hoover Cluster, Student Support Services, and the McNair Scholars Program. We are a team of dedicated advocates who proudly share the lived experience of the students we serve, partnering with them to succeed in college and fully express their potential. As we know, or have experienced firsthand, financial emergencies during our undergraduate studies create undue stress during an already challenging time.
Through the For Us From Us Fund, you can directly support ICI students at USD. The fund provides students in need with timely support to address hardships not typically covered by financial aid. The fund is available only to USD undergraduates participating in SSS or McNair, including Upward Bound alums currently attending USD.
