Through USD’s Bridge to Practice employment support, graduates are able to accept unpaid legal positions that interest them following graduation to sharpen their legal skills and develop the business acumen needed for a fulfilling career in the law.
USD School of Law is committed to providing excellence in legal education. The law school’s commitment to excellence does not end with Commencement. Thanks to USD’s Bridge to Practice efforts, graduates receive the tools and resources to be successful in the practice of law. Building on the doctrinal foundation students receive during their three (or four) years of law school, post-Grads are given an opportunity to perfect their practical experiences through employment positions beginning in March and continuing for up to a year of practice.
Employment opportunities are highly customized to support the personalized career goals of each graduate. Eligible graduates receive $5,000 in financial support and guidance tailored to their personal career goals to encourage graduates to accept unpaid legal positions that provide an array of valuable legal experiences.
