Support the Bar Study Stipend Fund!
The University of San Diego School of Law is committed to helping students and graduates reach academic and professional goals. The team connects students with the resources to succeed while in law school and become practice-ready professionals.
Bar Study Stipends are one of the many ways that students are equipped with the financial resources to focus on building their knowledge base and confidence levels to succeed in passing the bar examination required for licensure.
USD School of Law’s Bar Stipend Program is designed to assist graduating law students who are preparing for and taking the California Bar Examination. The program will distribute stipends to support students who demonstrate financial need for additional support in order to dedicate time to study for the Bar exam. Bar stipends are contingent upon benchmarks demonstrating diligence in bar preparation and regular meetings with the Academic Success Team at USD Law.
The Academic Success and Bar Programs Team offers personalized Bar Exam Prep strategy sessions. Students receive guidance on exam timelines, moral character applications, the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) and exam study strategies.
Students will be using Bar stipends to pay for examination preparation courses, examination fees, or living expenses during the critical stages of studying for the California Bar Examination while they are not earning a paycheck.
Stipend support is only possible because of the generous support of donors, alumni and friends of the USD School of law community who remember what it is like to have your whole future riding on the results of the Bar exam.
Bar study stipends remove financial barriers and make the path to a legal career more equitable. Thank you for ensuring every student has the chance to succeed.
