"The Hub" for Student Inclusion and Community strives to remove barriers and offer a sense of belonging for University of Richmond students. In doing so, we cultivate inclusive communities and empower students to be affirmed in their identities.
We support Richmond students by providing avenues to build community, engage across difference, and develop skills that encourage them to flourish at the University of Richmond and beyond. The Hub provides programming that celebrates our Richmond students’ diversity.
Your contribution allows us to continue our commitment to the following:
Cultivate affirming and inclusive spaces to help students develop a greater sense of belonging by providing programs like Sista Circle, A Bite of Chisme, FLI Etiquette Dinner, and Lavender Living.
Advocate for students by engaging, collaborating with, and educating fellow Spiders through our Oliver Hill Scholars Program, Affirming Space trainings, and Inclusive Partner Certificate program.
Celebrate through cultural and social programs designed to build connections and acknowledge diverse lived experiences, such as National First Gen Week, APIDA Cultural Ball, Black Excellence Gala, and Transgender Day of Visibility.
Empower students to explore themselves and exist authentically within our campus community. Programs like our Barbershop Talks , FLI Peer Mentor Program, and our Café con Leche dialogue series encourage students to explore their identities and embrace their true selves.
