The Economics Department offers majors in Economics (BA) in the school of Arts and Sciences, Economics (BSBA) in the Business School, and Mathematical Economics (BS) in the school of Arts and Sciences. In addition, students can earn a concentration in Economics in the Business School, a concentration in international economics for Global Studies majors, and a concentration in Economics for PPEL majors. Classes are small, with no class larger than 30 students. In research, the Economics Department is ranked #5 in research out of 196 liberal arts colleges in the U.S., according to IDEAS-RePec.
