The University of Richmond’s computer science program offers students a framework for understanding computer technology and its mathematical foundations. Computer science students aren’t just learning about the computer systems that will allow us to maintain our current lifestyle; they are learning the fundamentals of the field so they can push boundaries and develop the breaking technologies that will continue to improve how we live. Computer science students take courses that provide experience in programming, algorithm development, and data structuring in a variety of languages.
Our students compete in the annual Mid-Atlantic Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) International Collegiate Programming Contest each year. Your gift will help sponsor a computer science major to compete in this programming contest. Every donation helps foster our goals of creating a spirit of belonging and teamwork for our students in the Department of Computer Science.
