What is Giving Day?
Every Bear. Every Gift.
Giving Day is a special opportunity for the entire UPIKE community to come together and invest in the future of our students. On October 13, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents, and community partners are invited to unite in support of the University of Pikeville and the students whose lives are transformed through education.
On Giving Day, every contribution creates opportunities for students to succeed. Gifts of all sizes directly support the resources, experiences, and services that help Bears thrive. For example:
- $15 provides a full week of late-night study-break coffee and healthy snacks for residential students during finals week.
- $25 covers two hours of personalized tutoring or academic coaching through the Center for Academic Excellence.
- $50 funds a practice-focused MCAT or OAT test-prep package for a student preparing for medical or optometry school.
- $50 supplies specialized diagnostic equipment kits for a nursing student entering clinical rotations.
- $100 sponsors project submission and poster display fees for the Undergraduate Research and Humanities Symposium.
- $150 supports a full term of counseling sessions and wellness resources through the THRIVE Counseling Center.
- $300 covers licensure exam fees for a graduating senior entering the education or social work profession.
