KYCOM AMA chapter to host charity gala

In an effort to raise funds for a free vaccination clinic, the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine’s student chapter of the American Medical Association is hosting a gala.

According to Rimsha Afzal, president of the KYCOM AMA chapter, the “AMA Gala: An Evening for Advocacy” will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 on the seventh floor of UPike’s Health Professions Education Building.

All proceeds will go to a student-led clinic to be held in the spring, Afzal said, which will provide free vaccinations and check-ups to community members.
