UNCW Competitive Cheer Club

UNCW Competitive Cheer is a student-led organization that provides college athletes with the opportunity to continue their love for cheerleading in a supportive and competitive environment. The team focuses on building leadership, teamwork, and school spirit while representing UNCW at campus events and regional showcases. Open to students of all experience levels, the club generates personal growth, discipline, and lasting friendships through shared commitment and passion. Our mission is to create a space where dedicated athletes, many who never thought they’d have the chance to cheer in college, can grow, compete, and proudly represent UNCW.

UNCW Competitive Cheer is fundraising to attend the National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida, marking the first time in UNCW Club Sports history that our cheer team will compete at this prestigious event. Our goal is to raise the necessary funds to cover travel, housing, and competition fees, making participation possible for all athletes regardless of financial barriers. This opportunity allows our team to showcase hard work and school spirit while strengthening leadership, teamwork, and student involvement. Competing at NCA Nationals not only enhances the experience of our members but also promotes Seahawk pride at national level, creating a lasting impact on the student body and the visibility of UNCW.
