Gifts to Black Student Union contribute to...
The Fashion Show is an emerging UNCW tradition and needs your help to make it a reality! For 6 years, the Black Student Union has partnered with the Upperman Center to provide an amazing opportunity for students looking to build their portfolio & resume, and to liven up their experience at UNCW through their yearly fashion show. We are hoping to bring that back again for this academic year. The goal would be to give all students who would like to be involved an opportunity to showcase their clothing/fashion, production (i.e., modeling, stagehand skills, fine arts, music mixing), and video and photography skills.
We want to fundraise $2,000 to fully fund the visions of our fellow students and provide enough clothing and materials to put on a show.
For those involved in the committee and/or backstage, in years past, the fashion show has connected people in new ways, bringing in students and alumni who want to walk. The show and its production also bring in students and alumni who wish to get involved in the future and also bring people to UNCW who wish to support the students.
We’re in the home stretch! With 7 days left, the BSU Fashion Show team is excited to share that we’ve raised $450 so far — thank you to everyone who has supported us!
Your generosity is helping us create a show that celebrates creativity, culture, and student expression. Every gift, share, and shoutout makes a real difference as we work toward bringing this year’s vision to life.
If you haven’t had a chance to support yet, there’s still time!
👉 Make a gift, share the link, or spread the word to help us finish strong.
Thank you for believing in our students and their creativity!
