SGA Applied Learning Award

Real-world experience shouldn’t come with a financial barrier. The SGA Applied Learning Award, created this year by UNCW’s Student Government Association in partnership with Chancellor Volety, supports students participating in internships by helping cover the cost of housing and related expenses.

For many students, internships are a critical step toward their future — but unpaid or underpaid opportunities can be out of reach without support. This award helps ensure more Seahawks can gain hands-on experience, build skills and take the next step toward their careers.
