The College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), founded in 2010, is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of individuals, families and communities across Southeastern North Carolina and beyond. Home to the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences, School of Nursing and School of Social Work, CHHS offers 18 dynamic undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs that prepare students to make a real impact.
By giving to the College of Health and Human Services Excellence Fund during Seahawks Give, you fuel the programs and initiatives that strengthen our college and empower our students and faculty.
Your support helps:
- Provide need-based scholarships, which are especially important for CHHS’s high concentration of non-traditional and military-affiliated students
- Support health equity programming aimed at reducing health inequalities in Southeastern North Carolina
- Enhance state-of-the-art and high-impact learning experiences to build confidence and skills, provide relevant job training and prepare our students to be successful in their chosen field
- Strengthen community partnerships with organizations like health care systems, public health and social services to prepare our students to address community health issues in our region
- Expand service-learning opportunities that expose students to different cultures and social challenges
- Advance research grant proposal development and start-up funding
