We are the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, or, for short, CIE. We attract changemakers and dreamers, the inquisitive and curious, and those who have the mindset to control their destiny. Among those engaged are UNCW faculty and staff, UNCW students and alumni, community entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, programmers, scientists, youth, and retirees. CIE serves as a UNCW-community connector, whether it is for student success or entrepreneurial success.
CIE offers programs, services, and events to promote and support entrepreneurship and the creation of innovative new ventures, knowledge-based jobs, and innovative business solutions.
At CIE, we believe that entrepreneurship unleashes human potential. It has been well-documented that university students that engage in entrepreneurial experiences are more confident, employable, intrapreneurial, communicative, and resilient. Some students create successful businesses as well!
Your gift to CIE will provide critical support to student entrepreneurs through:
• Scholarships: Funding UNCW students to work with and learn from entrepreneurial leaders.
• Ignite grants: Provide small direct reimbursements for prototyping and other costs to enable UNCW student entrepreneurs pursuing impactful startups with hands-on entrepreneurial learning experiences.
Your contribution will help UNCW students thrive academically and professionally, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
