About

Active Girls-Healthy Girls (AGHG) is more than a spring break camp—it’s a meaningful, confidence-building experience that gives 4th-6th grade girls in Guilford County a chance to try activities they may never have had access to before.

Completely free of charge, AGHG introduces girls to nontraditional physical activities like rock climbing, pickleball, yoga, and dance, all within a positive, safe environment where they discuss emotions, self-care, nutrition, and leadership. What began as a 2-day camp serving 50 girls has grown into a 3-day experience that supported 60 girls last year—and this year will reach 80 girls.

Across these active, joyful days, participants discover new strengths, build healthy habits, form supportive connections, and begin to see themselves as capable, powerful, and deserving of opportunity.

By supporting this campaign, you help AGHG continue to grow and increase its impact year after year. Because the camp is entirely free for participants, donor support is what makes this growth possible—expanding the number of girls we serve, the activities we offer, and the community partnerships we build.

Your gift ensures that cost is never a barrier to a girl stepping into an environment that encourages confidence, belonging, and lifelong healthy habits. Together, we can foster joy, confidence, and healthy habits in the next generation of girls, strengthening our community in the process.

Here's how your support can make a difference:

  • $25 - Provides a camper workbook, water bottle, and t-shirt for one camper.
  • $50 - Supports healthy meals and snacks for one camper.
  • $75 - Helps cover supplies for physical activity sessions and wellness workshops.
  • $100 - Provides 15 hours of evidence-based training for a UNCG student that will serve as counselor during camp.
  • $200 - Funds the entire camp experience for one camper.

Hear from one of our campers as she shares how AGHG became a place to have fun, try new things, and build meaningful friendships. She even created her own game, Batetch, showing just how empowering it is when girls are given space to move, imagine, and lead. Your support helps make experiences like her possible.
