About

We invite you to support our First-Generation Commencement Stole crowdfunding campaign. Your contributions will directly impact our first-generation graduates, allowing them to proudly showcase their accomplishments at Commencement.

Fifty-two percent of all UNCG undergraduates self-identify as first-generation students. In other words, they will be the first in their families to graduate from college.

Help our first-generation students demonstrate pride in their accomplishments by sponsoring a special commencement stole! With a gift of $35 to the Commencement Regalia Support Fund, you can ensure that a future first-generation graduate can wear a stole as they cross the commencement stage free of charge.

Thank you to UNCG Campus Enterprises for sponsoring the first 500 stoles!

Updates
New in 2025 - leave a note for the graduate that will wear your sponsored stole!

You can now add a personal message for the graduate who will wear your sponsored stole! Once you make your gift, look for the comment box to share a few words of encouragement or congratulations. Your words will remind our graduating Spartans that their hard work is seen, valued, and celebrated.
