The School of Education has a proud history of creating life-changing opportunities through education. Currently, our teacher education programs have graduates in over 75% of North Carolina’s public school districts. UNCG produces more K-12 education professionals than the seven other schools in our region combined.

In recent rankings, our graduate counseling program was rated third in the nation and the best in North Carolina. The U.S. News & World Report rankings also placed us eighth nationally (first in the state) in the Best School Library Media Specialty area and 23rd nationally (second in the state) among the Best Master’s in Library and Information Science programs.
