About

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving back. It is a day to reflect on how others have made a difference in your life and pay it forward to the next generation.

At UNC Asheville we look up to see the heights that we can climb and the greatness that we can achieve together. This year, our climb looks a little different.

UNC Asheville students are facing unprecedented challenges on their journey to graduation. What hasn’t changed is our shared belief that uplifting and supporting others is paramount to creating a brighter future. Together, we can lift them up with the support they need to thrive at UNC Asheville and beyond.

We know you share our core belief that uplifting and supporting others is paramount to creating a brighter future.

When you make a gift of $15 or more by December 1, 2020, we will send you a pair of exclusive UNC Asheville socks! Supplies are limited, so don't wait to get your pair of socks.

Uplift UNC Asheville students with a gift in support of scholarships this Giving Tuesday.

Scholarship support enables our students to thrive during their time at UNC Asheville. These are just a few examples of scholarships that impact students across campus:

Give to our new Alumni Referral Scholarship to recruit new Bulldogs to campus. With an alumni referral, students can be eligible for a $1,000 award each year. You can refer a student online here: unca.edu/AlumniReferral.

The Diversity Engagement Scholarship was established to support students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds who are committed to or are actively engaged in promoting diversity and inclusion on campus and in their community. This scholarship acknowledges the importance of developing future leaders and the impact these students have in enhancing the overall student experience.

Support Chemistry Department Scholarships in memory of beloved professor, Dr. Dexter Squibb. While we could not gather this year for the annual S. Dexter Squibb Distinguished Lecture Series in Chemistry, you can continue to honor Dr. Squibb's memory with a gift in support of the next generation of Chemistry students.

As our largest and most impactful scholarship, your gift to The Pisgah Scholarship can help us achieve our goal to provide scholarship support to all students with financial need and those who exhibit academic excellence.

More than 75% of our student-athletes receive support from the Athletic Scholarship Fund to continue their education at UNC Asheville. These scholarships are vital for their ongoing success - on the field and in the classroom.

In partnership with the nationally respected college readiness program, The AVID Scholarship at UNC Asheville supports first-generation college students and those from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.

Or give to your favorite UNC Asheville Scholarship or one of our other campaigns, such as the Emily McNall Character Scholarship, OLLI Program, or the Joe Sulock Memorial Scholarship. Wherever you direct your gift, you are making a difference in the lives of our students!Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference!
