The Joel Williams Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of longtime UNC Asheville track & field coach Joel Williams. Established following his passing in February 2026, the endowed scholarship provides financial support for Bulldog track & field student-athletes, ensuring that Coach Williams’ commitment to mentorship, education and opportunity continues to shape future generations.
Throughout his career, Williams believed deeply in the transformative power of athletics and dedicated himself to helping student-athletes grow not only as competitors, but as leaders and people of character.
