History at UNC Asheville invites students to explore the forces that have shaped societies and cultures across time. Through the study of historical documents, ideas and events, students learn to interpret the past and understand its influence on the present. The program develops strong research, writing and analytical skills while preparing graduates for careers in education, law, public service and cultural institutions.
