LOCAL FEEL. GLOBAL REACH.
Your support for the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences will enhance the student experience and allow our students to grown academically and personally.
Barcelona: Project Forensic Barcelona provides students with the opportunity to actively engage, academically and professionally, with different ways of conducting forensic science in a foreign environment; challenging them to think critically about the host culture and the scientific methods being used. This experience is a gateway to enhancing intercultural communication skills in an academic setting, laboratory experience, and to gaining a global perspective on how forensic science is applied in different contexts. Students learn about the organization and operation of the host institutions and how they differ to the US and students are exposed to a number of comprehensive activities conducted by: law enforcement, forensic laboratories, medical examiners, and academic professionals located in the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (Catalonia). The vibrant city of Barcelona provides the ideal setting for students to enjoy multiculturality and personal development.
Poland: "I spent 2 weeks last summer in Poland with 11 other students from the Henry C. Lee College along with Interim Dean David Schroeder. We went to Warsaw, Kielce, and Krakow and explored numerous different facilities of the Polish National Police in each city. Along with the stops relating to criminal justice in Poland, we visited many important landmarks and museums from World War II and the Holocaust to learn about how the Polish National Police evolved after the war and after the occupation of the Soviet Union.
It was a life changing trip, and I never would have thought I could step out of my comfort zone like that! I really became a new person and grew so much in myself from that trip". - Mackenzie Scheuttig, B.S. Forensic Science Studies '25
