UNH's DEI Mission Statement: The University of New Hampshire is committed to building and nurturing an environment of inclusive excellence where all students, faculty, and staff can thrive.  We also are committed to providing open and inclusive access for all alumni, volunteers, learners, employees, and visitors seeking to participate in our programs and activities.  We venture to sustain a campus environment that fosters mutual respect and understanding.  We believe diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion are foundational values inextricably linked to achieving our core educational mission and embrace the many characteristics of our community members that make them uniquely themselves.  Here, you belong and all are welcome.

DEI Initiatives

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Initiatives assist faculty in developing curricula specific to the needs of first-generation college students; help build inclusive curricula with representations of diverse cultures and traditions; and assist staff in developing inclusive programming highlighting the history and culture of people from underrepresented groups.

Kidder Fund: The purpose of the Kidder Fund is to sponsor and encourage educational efforts that will enhance understanding of and advance opportunities for those whose sexual orientation and/or gender identity differs from the majority in our culture, to foster AIDS awareness, and to demonstrate the constructive contributions this important segment of our society is making. Kidder Fund Grants are available to support programs, research, events, and projects that fulfill the purpose of the Kidder Fund.

Beauregard Center Fund: Formerly the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA), the Beauregard Center is committed to working collaboratively with the whole UNH community to create a more inclusive, equitable, and socially just campus through education, advising, advocacy and community building. Through the lens of intersectionality, the Center works closely with the underrepresented and allies with students to empower their development and growth in order to thrive socially and academically. The Beauregard Center also works with faculty, staff, and administrators around issues concerning campus climate.
