Supporting Missouri’s Children: The Center for Child Well-Being
At the Center for Child Well-Being, we are working to change the way Missouri supports its children by empowering those who care for them. Whether it’s parents, professionals or community partners, we provide the tools, training and support they need to build strong foundations for every child’s mental and emotional health. The Center promotes the mental and emotional health of Missouri's children through an interdisciplinary approach, working across four key domains:
- Early Childhood Programs — building early childhood professionals' skills to promote children’s social and emotional growth while reducing challenging behaviors.
- Psychiatry Access Programs — expanding the capacity of health care and social service providers by offering support for children’s and adolescent psychiatry and maternal mental health professionals.
- Therapeutic Programs — providing hands-on psychiatric evaluation and treatment directly to children, promoting healing and building resilience along the way.
- Foster Care System Support Programs — providing expert clinical consultation focused on the behavioral and physical health needs of children in state custody.
When you support the Center, you’re investing in long-term, statewide solutions, not just short-term interventions.
