Every year, The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) hosts a national conference that advances creation, teaching and learning through clay in the contemporary world. This year, the conference will be held in Detroit, creating a singular moment where an international clay community will come to Michigan seeking community, inspiration and artistic excellence. Help us provide our students the opportunity to attend this life-changing conference experience!
The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design is committed to building and sustaining a school that requires two things to thrive: studio culture and exchange. The Ceramics Studio is an essential destination for students, faculty and staff to engage in deep 3D material exploration. Supporting the Stamps Ceramics Fund on Giving Tuesday will help the school build on the legacy of rigorous studio practice through an engagement with clay.
Helping us reach our goal this year includes supporting the timely opportunity for Stamps students, faculty and staff to engage with the international clay community by attending NCECA in Detroit in the Spring. Attending the conference connects the Stamps community to the international clay community while deepening its ties to an essential material practice.
