About our Organization
CS KickStart organizes a one week introductory class in computer science designed primarily for incoming freshman women and other underrepresented minorities in tech at University of Michigan. Participants learn how to program, gain exposure to the different areas of computer science, and meet other computer science students and professionals. The program targets those who are interested in math, science, engineering, and/or technology but have little experience with computer science. We aim to give them a hands-on experience that will reveal the creativity and power of computer science.
