Michigan club softball is a student-run organization that allows women to continue to play softball competitively in college, while providing a built-in group of friends that support each other. Our 16 member team represents the university at a high level with the club’s first national championship for the 2024-25 season and appearances at nationals 3 of the last 4 years. We are seeking funds to support travel costs and replace worn out equipment and old uniforms, without having to pass that cost on to any of our current team members.
Team equipment is not an annual purchase, but when it does wear out and become unusable, it presents us with a need for extra funds for what is essentially a one time expense for a team that has annual turnover. We replaced a large majority of our equipment last year, but are still in need of some replacements. We utilize uniforms year after year, lasting about 4 years, and try to replace one set of uniforms every year, so the cost is not hitting all at one time. With our trip to nationals, the annual travel expenses rise significantly, and we are working hard to make it back to nationals again this season. We would like to be able to do this without additional dues payments from members.
Your support will allow us to continue to travel without passing expenses onto team members as well as keep safe and functional team equipment that will last the team for a number of years!
About our Organization
Michigan Club Softball is part of the Club Sports Program and National Club Softball Association (NCSA). We play other university club softball teams around the Midwest. Our schedule consists of approximately 5 conference triple headers per season (Fall and Spring) along with tournament play. We practice twice a week throughout the school year in order to stay competitive, and we volunteer and fundraise to stay engaged in our community.
