BioMed Focus Program

BioMed Focus is a paid, full-time, 8-week summer research program for rising juniors and seniors to gain research experience by working in laboratories at the University of Michigan and Michigan Medicine.

BioMed Focus Scholars train with a selected mentor to complete a hypothesis-driven independent research project. In addition to first-hand research experience, students complete a science communication course, and a college preparatory course.

At the end of the program, each Scholar writes a manuscript of their research project and presents a research talk for their family and friends during a symposium.
