About

Support Interdisciplinary Research at ISR

In today’s increasingly interconnected world, discoveries are most likely to occur on the boundaries between academic disciplines. As a result, the Institute for Social Research’s (ISR) interdisciplinary approach to social research is more important than ever in shaping the understanding of scholars, informing the decisions of leaders in the public and private sectors, and improving the lives of individuals and communities across the globe.

The ISR Research Innovation Fund honoring Robert L. Kahn supports small groups of interdisciplinary researchers who are addressing real world problems that cannot be understood within a single discipline or field. Your gift will be a force for generating innovative social solutions and sparking collaborative scholarship.

Please Note: Gifts to endowed funds will be administered as permanent endowment under Michigan law and University policies; excess distributions may be added to the principal for reinvestment or used later for the purpose(s) for which the fund was established.
