Support UMMAA Field and Collections Research
Dr. Joyce Marcus, UMMAA’s curator of Latin American archaeology, has spent her career at the University of Michigan conducting pathbreaking archaeological field and collections research. She is also a master teacher and mentor, who has guided the careers of hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students. She knows well the power of anthropological archaeological research to answer critical questions about past human behavior, with significant implications for today’s world.
With federal funding for archaeological research under attack, UMMAA’s strategic fund becomes that much more important. The fund is used to support all aspects of UMMAA’s work, including cutting-edge research.
This is why Dr. Marcus has pledged to match all donations to UMMAA this Giving Blueday up to a total of $5000, and alum Thomas K. Black III has pledged a match of $2000, for a total of $7000.
Your donation, large or small, will automatically double and will make a difference. Your gift to UMMAA will help support research by curators, students, and staff in the field, the laboratory, and the collections. Thank you!
