Support Staff Development at ISR
The Laurie Staples Professional Development Fund supports the education and training of staff at ISR by providing financial awards to ISR employees who are pursuing an undergraduate degree or master’s degree from an accredited institution. It honors late SRC Administrator, Laurie Staples, who was a great advocate for staff continuing their education.
ISR is committed to supporting staff members through the Staff Development Fund honoring Laurie Staples, who was a Center Administrator within ISR. This fund provides financial support to the education and training of staff at ISR. Employees who are pursuing a degree from an accredited institution or educational/certificate programs and examinations have the opportunity to receive financial support from ISR.
Why ISR?
As the world's largest academic social science survey and research organization, our scientific mission is threefold:
- To plan and conduct rigorous social science research
- To disseminate the findings of this research
- To train future generations of social scientists
In today’s increasingly interconnected world, discoveries are most likely to occur on the boundaries between academic disciplines. As a result, ISR’s interdisciplinary approach to social research is more important than ever in shaping the understanding of scholars, informing the decisions of leaders in the public and private sectors, and improving the lives of individuals and communities across the globe.
Please note: Gifts to endowed funds will be administered as permanent endowment under Michigan law and University policies; excess distributions may be added to the principal for reinvestment or used later for the purpose(s) for which the fund was established.
