The UMass Lowell community has rallied around our students for the past six Days of Giving — last year in record numbers! We are calling on our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to make this year the largest display of UML pride in 48 hours. Our focus is clear, empowering UML students to succeed on the path to graduation.

Your support of the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences opens a world of opportunities for students. It provides them with transformative experiences like studying abroad, internships in their field and exploring creative endeavors.

You've been challenged!

Chancellor’s Challenge

Chancellor Julie Chen and her spouse, Susu Wong, have generously offered $25,000 in challenge funds to be divided out to the areas of campus with the highest levels of participation.

The campus group in each category with the most unique donors will receive: 

·       $5,000 to the top impact area  

·       $5,000 to the top school/college  

·       $5,000 to the top athletic team  

·       $5,000 to the top student club  

·       $5,000 to the top department/center/institute

Athletics Top Donors Challenge

The top five athletics programs that secure the most donors will earn extra challenge funds, thanks to an anonymous donor!

1st: $1,000 2nd: $850 3rd: $500 4th: $375 5th: $275

Center for Asian American Studies Endowment Challenge

The Center for Asian American Center for Excellence and Engagement Board has issued a donor challenge where up to $3,000 can be claimed for the center’s endowment:

Reaching 75 donors will unlock the first $1,000

Reaching 150 donors will unlock the next $1,000

Reaching 225 donors will unlock the final $1,000

Civil and Environmental Engineering $10K Match

We have exciting news! A legendary professor of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Program is providing a dollar for dollar match up to $10,000 in support of the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering for UMass Lowell’s Days of Giving. 

Cross Country/Track and Field Challenge

Track & Field and Cross Country fans: $5,000 in matching funds are on the line, thanks to a generous donor. 

Emergency Medical Services Match

Rick Wood has generously offered to match the first $500 to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) during Days of Giving.

Francis College of Engineering Donor Challenge

When 150 donors contribute to the Francis College of Engineering or the college receives a total of $10,000 in donations, Henry Wu (MS in Electrical Engineering, 1992) will generously donate an additional $10,000 to support the college's initiatives.

Manning School of Business Dean's Office Challenge

If the Manning School of Business reaches 200 total donors during Days of Giving, an additional $5,000 gift will be unlocked, thanks to a generous challenge from Rist Family Endowed Dean Bertie Greer and Associate Deans Amit Deokar and Yi Yang. 

Richard Juknavorian ’98 Matching Challenge

Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences advisory board member Richard Juknavorian ’98 has pledged to match the first $1,000 raised for the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences and Solomont School of Nursing.

School of Education Recent Graduate Match

School of Education students and recent graduates (Classes of 2014-2023) have a chance to give back with a "3X the Impact” giving opportunity. This year, all students and recent grads who donate to the School of Education designation will have their donations tripled through a very generous matching fund donation!

Softball Challenge

Bill Mucica has issued a $5,000 matching challenge to Softball supporters!

Student-Athlete Participation Challenge

50% student-athlete participation will unlock $500 for each team, 100% student- athlete will unlock an additional $500 for each team!

Tsongas Industrial History Center Matching Challenge

Peter O’Connell, longtime director of the center, and founding member has offered to match any gifts to the Tsongas Industrial History Center up to $1,000. This gift is in honor of teachers like longtime teacher advisor Harold Crowley, a long-time supporter of the center, who recently passed away.

Dean’s Challenge – Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences

If the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences reaches 100 total donors during Days of Giving, an additional $5,000 gift will be unlocked, thanks to Dean Mary Gallant!
