Charlton Women in Business

Charlton Women in Business is dedicated to supporting the personal, academic, and professional growth of students at UMass Dartmouth. Throughout the year, we provide networking events, guest speakers, professional development workshops, career preparation, social events, and opportunities for students to build meaningful relationships with their peers and professionals. Last year, we participated in the Winning Women Conference in New York City last year where members networked with professionals from companies like Microsoft and Goldman Sachs, attended panel discussions, participated in interactive workshops, and learned from women in a variety of industries. Experiences like this allow our members to take what they are learning at UMass Dartmouth beyond the classroom, build their confidence, expand their professional networks, and gain exposure to different career paths.

CWIB creates a supportive space for students to develop professionally and personally while becoming more involved on campus. Although our organization focuses on empowering women in business, our programming and membership are open to students from different majors and backgrounds. We hope to continue expanding the opportunities available to our members through conferences, company visits, networking opportunities, scholarships, and potentially international and study abroad experiences. Our goal is to give UMass Dartmouth students access to experiences and connections that will continue benefiting them throughout college and into their future careers.
