Black Law Students Association

BLSA contributes to the UMass Dartmouth community by creating opportunities for students to connect, learn, grow professionally, and feel supported throughout law school. Our activities include mentorship, academic support and accountability hours, professional development programs, networking opportunities, attorney and alumni speaker events, panels, community-building events, and connections to regional and national BLSA programming.

While our organization focuses on supporting Black law students and increasing representation within the legal profession, our programs also contribute to the broader law school community by encouraging mentorship, leadership, professional development, inclusion, and community engagement. We also work to connect students with attorneys, judges, professional organizations, and opportunities beyond campus.

Through these efforts, BLSA helps create a stronger and more connected law school community while preparing students to become engaged members of the legal profession.
